PCFC March Challenges

Here are more manis for the Purple Crumpet Fairy Challenge. I am slacking. Story of my life huh.

This is my Spring gradient for March 10th. I used Nicole by OPI Paparazzi Don't Preach as the peach base. Then NOPI One Big Happy Fame-ily as the purple in the middle. Then the tip is Barry M Mint Green. I did sponging of the second and third colors on to make it look like a fade effect.

I like the shimmer that the lavender has in it. It was just right for this I think.

Next up is a VERY colorful Pastel skittle for the March 8th challenge.
In case you can't see the bottle labels, I used: NOPI Enchantress (pink), CG Re-Fresh Mint (green), NOPI One Big Happy Fame-ily (purple), Wet n Wild I Need A Refresh-Mint (blue), and Ulta Peach Parfait (peach). Then topped with Sally Hansen's Glass Slipper.

I loved the effect that Glass Slipper had on top of each of the different colors.

One of my favorites of the challenge so far!

Next up, I combined the two flower challenges that were close together. From March 3rd and 6th. I put my tulips and daffodils on the same mani. I am not great at drawing but these flowers weren't too difficult and I think the effect came thru.

Spoiled I Only Eat Salads as the base color. Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Mellow Yellow and Sun Kissed for the flowers. Essie Ole Caliente for the tulip. And Ulta Limelight for the stems.

Hope you enjoyed these three. And I would love your feedback on whether you like that I am adding the photos of the polishes I used. Do you like the bottle shot and the label pics too?

I am headed to a scrapbooking retreat this weekend so I will post more challenge manis when I return! Happy Spring!

My DT Card for The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog

This month at The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog, our sponsor was Digital Delights.

Our theme this month is to use Ribbon or Lace. For my first project of the month, I chose to use this adorable little angel image that Digital Delights was so generous to share with us.
She is just sitting here looking nice and cute, so I colored her with Copics and CTMH markers. I only have like 6 Copics. My skin colored one gets used most often, then I have a light blue one which I used for the wings here. I also have a red and a couple greys. These are the colors you need people! LOL

I used my Star Jelly Roller pen to glitter her up a bit. If you don't have one of those pens, you need one, trust me! They add just the right amount of sparkle to your project. I have used it to glitz up stickers, rub ons, buttons, and even ribbon. So I shimmered up this little Angels wings and the scallop border on her dress with my pen. I used Stickles on her bows and a gold Spica pen on the halo.  You may notice the twine on the I of HI. Well let me tell you a secret....Its not really an I. I didn't have any more I's in my stash so I cut another letter into an I and then disguised the little imperfection with some twine. It works!
For my flowers, the big one used to be plain white. But I spritzed it up with my Glimmer Mist sprays. I have a ton of them and I love them but I don't use them quite as often as I would like. So it is sprayed with 3 different colored mists to get the right shade of funky shimmery green that I wanted. The other two flowers from Creative Memories, were already colored and I just spritzed them a little to give them a shimmer and some watery spots. I think they turned out cute and fit together nicely with a pearly brad in the center.

The challenge was to use Ribbon or Lace, so I found a felt scalloped ribbon in my stash that matched my pattern papers pretty well. I cut the circle, that my little Angel is sitting on, with my Cricut. I have like 3 carts that I use quite often and I just love putting pretty little cut shapes on cards. The papers are from some little paper stacks that I have gotten from Archiver's and JoAnns recently. They are in 4x6 or 6x6 sizes. Just perfect for cardmaking! They coordinate super well with the ton of different patterns that come in each stack so go get some if you haven't already!
Well thanks for checking out my DT creation for TCCCB this week! I will be using a different Digital Delights image for my second card of the month so don't forget to come back on week 4 to see it!

More Challenge Manis

REMINDER: 4 days left to enter my 100 follower giveaway!! I know the dumb GFC is being dumb but just let me know how you follow me somehow. Thanks and good luck!!

Purple Crumpet Fairy Challenge: FEB 24th Spring Sunrise
Loved doing this one. I did a base of yellow and then sponged on the rest of the colors.

PCFC FEB 25 Blossom Tree
I love those blossom trees and so wearing one as a mani was a treat. I loved how this turned out. Not bad for a little art.

PCFC FEB 28 Favorite Spring Lilac or Peach.
This is Nicole by OPIs Paparazzi don't Preach. A Kardashian Kolor. It is a nice subtle peach.

Hopefully this posts right. I used my Nook for the text but the pictures were being wonky.

So there are my last challenge manis from February for the Purple Crumpet Fairy Challenge. I have been having a lot of migraines and stuff going on with the kids and my family so I have been really unable to blog much lately. I have pictures of projects, just no time to upload and blog. Its one or the other I guess.

I also want to add a THANK YOU shout out to Lydz from the Purple Castle. I won her Valentine Giveaway and it was awesome! I loved the Peeps! I will put the pics of what I won up next time I get to post. My computer is being a big chump and my hubby just got a new job so he hasn't fixed it yet.

So coming up soon, I will be posting about: March PCFC manis, some manis for the 52 week challenge, a review of some awesome polishes I got from Pretty & Polished, and some cards I have made for my Design Teams! I really need to get those cranked out more often. Still thinking I should maybe make a new blog to separate my nails and my cards. What is your opinion? And how are all my new followers?! Glad to have you here! I hope to give you a reason to stick around! HUGS!
